His Volcano
Description of work: Humans have been drawing volcanic eruptions as evidenced by the cave depictions and neolithic drawings of intense volcanic activity. this fueled a drawing in an effort to bring some of the glorious image of the planet’s pyrotechnic power to paper. The devastation can be seen in the foreground by the remnants of a lone tree that was carbonized and chronicles the Earth’s powerful outburst of fire and lava.

There is a certain fascination with the fruit’s shape, which changes depending on the viewpoint (the peach is the fullest and richest). Sketching is done with multiple marks in pencil and paint.
